C10 - Gutter cleaning

The problem

The subject is an industrial building with deep gutters requiring cleaning. According to the client, the gutters had not been cleaned for at least five years, resulting in a heavy buildup of tough, compacted grime. The level of contamination significantly restricted water flow and posed a long-term maintenance risk. Due to the building height and gutter depth, traditional access methods would require personnel to work at height, increasing safety concerns.

 

Common solutions

Gutter cleaning is commonly performed using scaffolding, boom lifts, or manual access from ladders. These methods involve working at height, require extensive setup, and increase labor and safety risks. In industrial environments, access equipment can be costly and disruptive, particularly when gutters are heavily contaminated and require prolonged cleaning time.

 

The solution provided

The gutters were cleaned using a pressure washing system mounted on the ABZ C10, equipped with a 25° angled nozzle optimized for gutter cleaning. This configuration allowed effective removal of compacted grime while maintaining controlled water flow and precise cleaning.

The complete system setup took approximately 15 minutes. Once operational, the drone-based cleaning method eliminated the need for personnel to work at height, significantly reducing safety risks.

A total of 40 meters of industrial deep guttering was cleaned in approximately 1 hour using 3 batteries. The system provided sufficient pressure to break down and remove hardened debris without the use of chemical agents.
