ABZ Innovation L50 Makes Its UK Debut at Cereals 2026
Europe’s first 50-litre LiDAR-based agricultural spraying drone is being officially introduced to the UK market at Cereals 2026, presented jointly by ABZ Innovation and its UK partner, The Bionic Eye.
Cereals 2026, held at Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, is where the ABZ Innovation L50 makes its official UK market debut. Presented jointly by ABZ Innovation and The Bionic Eye, the event gives UK growers and agronomists their first opportunity to see the platform in person — with live demonstrations conducted by an ABZ Innovation pilot.
A new benchmark for European agricultural drones
The L50 is designed for the demands of large-scale commercial farming. With a 50-litre tank and a coverage rate of up to 24 hectares per hour, it delivers output that was previously out of reach for European-built platforms. Integrated RTK positioning ensures sub-centimetre accuracy, while the ABZ Sense LiDAR system provides real-time 3D terrain following and obstacle avoidance — allowing the L50 to work safely and effectively in conditions where conventional machinery cannot.
The results: up to 90% less water use, up to 50% less chemical use, and no crop trampling from tractor wheelings. For UK growers facing tightening input budgets and growing pressure to reduce chemical load, these are not incremental improvements — they represent a fundamentally different way of working.
The L50 received the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award in February 2026 — the leading international recognition in agricultural innovation. Every unit is CE certified and manufactured to ISO 9001 standards at ABZ Innovation’s facility in Szentendre, Hungary.
