ABZ Innovation L50: From FLIA 2026 Winner to the Next Stage of Growth

Earlier this year, the ABZ Innovation L50 agricultural drone won the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award 2026 in the Technology category, standing out among five shortlisted innovations and earning the votes of international trade visitors.

In a new FRUIT LOGISTICA interview, Gyula Török, CCO & Founder of ABZ Innovation, reflects on the technology behind the L50, the significance of the award, and what has happened since.

Designed for large-scale agricultural operations, the L50 combines a 50-litre spraying capacity, LiDAR-based navigation, and cylindrical-cell battery technology. With a field performance of up to 24 hectares per hour, it was developed to give growers greater flexibility, precision, and efficiency in real-world conditions.

The interview also highlights how expectations around agricultural drones are evolving. Professional users increasingly evaluate these systems based on flight endurance, operating costs, reliability, and their ability to integrate into everyday farming operations.

As Gyula explains:

“Winning the FLIA was meaningful recognition of the work behind the L50, but for us it was a checkpoint rather than a destination.”

Since the award, ABZ Innovation has opened its new manufacturing facility in Szentendre, Hungary, allowing the company to scale production and support growing demand across more than 40 markets.
