At Lipóti Bakery’s industrial facility in Hatvan, Hungary, ABZ Innovation deployed its C10 industrial cleaning drone and dedicated Clean Station mobile support system to clean selected exterior surfaces of the building.
The project demonstrates how drone-based cleaning technology can transform industrial maintenance by reducing operational time, simplifying on-site logistics and minimising the need for work at height.
Tasks that would traditionally require scaffolding, elevated work platforms and substantial manual labour were completed on the designated areas in just 1–1.5 hours. The operation combined high-pressure washing with a pre-treatment using an environmentally friendly, fully biodegradable cleaning agent applied as active foam.
Faster, safer and more efficient industrial cleaning with drone technology
Cleaning industrial facades can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. Conventional methods often require scaffolding, lifting platforms or manual work at height, increasing preparation time, labour requirements and potential safety risks.
At Lipóti Bakery, the goal was clear: clean the designated exterior surfaces efficiently while reducing the need for conventional access equipment and direct work at height.
The ABZ Innovation C10 industrial cleaning drone provides an aerial approach to cleaning elevated surfaces, allowing operators to control the process from the ground. Its adjustable spray system and Dual-RTK positioning support controlled operation, while the adjustable Full HD camera helps the operator maintain a clear view of the working area.
The Clean Station brings the essential ground equipment together in one mobile unit, supporting a streamlined and organised cleaning workflow.
Together, the C10 and Clean Station create a coordinated cleaning solution that combines aerial access, high-pressure washing and water treatment in one system.
The operation followed a two-stage process designed to loosen dirt before rinsing.
1. Biodegradable foam pre-treatment
The C10 applied a fully biodegradable cleaning agent as active foam to the selected exterior surfaces. The foam remained on the façade during the required dwell time, helping loosen accumulated dirt and contaminants.
2. High-pressure rinsing
After the pre-treatment, the drone rinsed the surfaces using high-pressure water supplied by the Clean Station. Filtered and softened water helped reduce mineral residue and water spots, supporting a cleaner finish.
Throughout both stages, operators controlled the process from the ground. This approach reduced the need for personnel to access elevated surfaces directly and enabled a systematic cleaning workflow.
Significant time savings
The designated areas were cleaned in approximately 1–1.5 hours. Compared with conventional methods that may require extensive preparation, access equipment and several days of manual work, drone-based cleaning can significantly shorten operations. Actual time savings depend on the size of the area, the level of contamination and site conditions.
Improved worksite safety
By reducing the need for scaffolding and elevated work platforms, the technology can help limit personnel exposure to risks associated with working at height. Operators remain on the ground while controlling the cleaning process.
Integrated and mobile operation
The Clean Station combines water storage, cleaning-agent delivery, high-pressure equipment and water treatment in one mobile unit. This simplifies equipment logistics and supports efficient deployment at different industrial sites.
A more environmentally conscious cleaning process
The use of a biodegradable cleaning agent supports a more environmentally conscious approach to surface maintenance. Appropriate chemical selection, application and wastewater management remain essential to meeting site-specific environmental requirements.
Controlled water quality
The Clean Station’s filtration and water-softening system helps minimise mineral residue and water spots, supporting a cleaner finish after drying.
A visible difference through drone-based cleaning. The before-and-after images show the improvement achieved on the façade of Lipóti Bakery’s Hatvan facility, illustrating how ABZ Innovation’s C10 drone and Clean Station system can help restore the appearance of industrial building surfaces.
The first phase of the cleaning operation at Lipóti Bakery’s Hatvan facility demonstrates the practical benefits of combining the ABZ Innovation C10 industrial cleaning drone with the Clean Station mobile support system. By integrating aerial cleaning, biodegradable foam pre-treatment, high-pressure rinsing and water treatment, the system offers an efficient alternative to conventional methods that rely heavily on manual labour and access equipment.
For industrial facilities, this approach can mean shorter cleaning operations, simplified logistics and reduced exposure to working-at-height risks.
