Last week, ABZ Innovation had the privilege of organizing a professional drone demonstration at the KEAN factory premises in Limassol, Cyprus. The event was made possible through the invaluable support of the Embassy of Hungary to Cyprus and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the NEXT KPI program, which designed to foster international business partnerships.
We are sincerely grateful for their support. Their assistance played a key role in helping us explore the Cypriot market, an important step toward establishing a fruitful and long-term presence on the island.
Among the distinguished guests, we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Maria Panayiotou, Cypriot Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus, who showed great interest in the potential of drone technologies in local agriculture. The event was officially opened with welcome remarks by H.E. Dr. Krisztina Lakos, Ambassador of Hungary to Cyprus, Mr. Philokypros Roussounides, the Secretary General of The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Kyriakos Attouni, the Investment Promotion Associate of Invest Cyprus and Ms. Réka Sarkadi, Trade Attaché of the Embassy of Hungary to Cyprus, all of whom emphasized the importance of strengthening innovation-driven partnerships between the two countries.
Our team demonstrated the ABZ Innovation L30 V2 spraying drone in a nearby orange grove, showcasing its precision and efficiency in agricultural applications. Back at the factory site, we presented the capabilities of the C10 industrial drone, highlighting its versatility through live demonstrations—solar panel cleaning, façade washing, and even car washing—which captivated the audience with its multifunctionality.
The event also featured a presentation by our valued partner, BioNat Ltd., who introduced their precision agriculture solutions, adding important context to the growing ecosystem of sustainable agri-tech tools.
To our delight, a local TV channel covered the event. You can watch the video here:
The following day, ABZ Innovation participated in the Reflect Festival, Cyprus’s premier tech and innovation event. Our colleague, Bence Katona, delivered a compelling presentation on the history, present, and future impact of drone technology. His speech attracted remarkable attention and sparked great interest among attendees from various industries.
This two-day program marked a significant step forward in our mission to bring Hungarian-developed drone technologies to new international markets. We look forward to building lasting partnerships in Cyprus and beyond.
