Cleaning large industrial buildings can be challenging when access is limited and normal operations cannot be interrupted. This was exactly the situation at Zemědělské služby Dynín, where the facade of one of the buildings had to be cleaned.
The approximately 560 m² surface was heavily contaminated with residue generated during animal feed production. The location also presented an important access challenge: an extension and roof structure covered the area where raw materials are unloaded, making the use of an aerial work platform extremely difficult.
The customer normally relies on rope-access technicians for this type of cleaning, with the work typically taking two to three days.
For this project, however, the cleaning needed to be carried out without obstructing the customer’s daily operations. Large trucks still had to be able to drive underneath the working area, leaving very limited room for conventional access equipment.
This made the C10 a practical alternative.
The C10 was used to clean the facade using only cold water at high pressure. No cleaning chemicals were added, allowing the performance of the cleaning system itself to be tested under particularly simple operating conditions.
Despite the heavy contamination, the C10 achieved a clear and visible cleaning effect across the facade. The drone also allowed the cleaning work to be carried out above the active loading area without placing an access platform in the way of passing trucks.
The approximately 560 m² facade was cleaned within one day by a two-person team consisting of:
The customer was highly satisfied with both the speed and quality of the cleaning.
The project also demonstrated a key practical advantage of drone-based cleaning: the work could be carried out in an area where conventional access equipment would have been difficult to position, while the customer’s operations continued without interruption.
The successful result has already opened the door to further work. Following the project, discussions are underway about cleaning another building at the same site.
For Zemědělské služby Dynín, the C10 provided a way to approach a difficult cleaning task with minimal access equipment, a small team and no need to stop ongoing site operations.
