Faster, safer, spot-free: The ABZ Clean Station proven in a real-world project

When it comes to cleaning industrial facades or elevated glass and marble surfaces, traditional scaffolding and conventional washing solutions increasingly face hard limitations. In our most recent project, we demonstrated in live operations what this unique-in-the-market technological pairing can achieve: the ABZ Innovation C10 cleaning drone supported by the professional ABZ Clean Station, which ensures a flawless, spot-free finish without the need for post-wipe drying.

Key project metrics:

  • Live operational test: Within just 1 hour, we cleaned a surface area of 150 m² while continuously testing, measuring, and comparing various nozzle and cleaning configurations.
  • Optimized work capacity: Following the testing and fine-tuning phase, a performance exceeding 300 m²/hour is realistically achievable under standard operating conditions.
  • Working height: Approx. 7 meters
  • Final result: Perfectly clean surface with 100% streak- and spot-free drying.

The Tech on the Ground: ABZ Clean Station

While the C10 drone handles the impressive aerial work, true efficiency is driven from the ground by the ABZ Clean Station:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification: The integrated filtration system removes dissolved minerals from the water. The resulting ultra-pure water dries completely spot- and streak-free on both glass and marble—without the need for additional chemicals.
  • Continuous Operation, Zero Downtime: Thanks to the 440-liter buffer tank, the drone never has to pause or wait for water filtration.
  • In-Flight Media Switching: The Clean Station’s specialized valve control allows seamless switching between chemical washing and RO water rinsing while the drone remains airborne—fluid transition occurs directly from the ground unit on the fly.

Time Factor and Efficiency: Extreme Performance in Record Time

Traditional manual glass and facade cleaning using telescopic poles is highly time-consuming, physically demanding, and severely slows down progress on large surface areas. Tasks that would take long hours or an entire day with manual wiping can be completed in a fraction of the time—just 1–2 hours—with total coverage and consistent quality using this drone technology.

There is no wasted downtime and no drop in quality due to physical fatigue—just maximum efficiency and lightning-fast results.

The Cleaning Process

Our goal on this project extended beyond simply cleaning the surface; we aimed to optimize the technology under real-world conditions. We set out to identify the fastest, most effective configuration for louvered facades. The test surface featured persistent summer build-up—bug residue, bird droppings, cobwebs, and dust—making it a perfect representation of actual field conditions.

  • Chemical Application & Environmental Safety: On the central section of the surface, we applied LaboWTC Solar Cleaner. The ST-75.1 FoamHead attachment generated a dense, long-lasting foam layer that ensured optimal dwell time and adhesion. Crucially, the cleaning foam used is fully biodegradable, protecting surrounding vegetation and minimizing environmental impact during high-tech operations.
  • Continuous Nozzle Testing: Due to the facade’s louvered design, we tested multiple setups sequentially, including PowerNozzle pencil-jet and DirtBlaster rotary nozzles. Based on on-site measurements, the flat-jet PowerNozzle proved to be the fastest and most efficient option.
  • Final Rinse: The final washdown was conducted with RO-purified water at 180 bar pressure, delivering a spotless, brilliant finish.

Customer Satisfaction: Zero Business Disruption and Exceptional Results

For industrial and commercial facilities, a primary requirement is that maintenance work does not disrupt day-to-day business. While our drone team operated overhead, customers and staff at the Hovány Auto Salon in Békéscsaba carried on uninterrupted inside—the cleaning process caused zero downtime for dealership operations.

The success of the project is reinforced by direct feedback from the client:

I evaluated the final result extremely positively: the entire cleaning process was completed very quickly and without disrupting the showroom’s daily operations in any way. Furthermore, the glass surfaces dried perfectly, completely spot-free.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This experiment serves strictly as a baseline. In practical commercial applications, pressure levels, spraying configurations, flow rates, and other flight parameters must always be adjusted dynamically to adapt to specific facade surface types, contamination levels, and ambient environmental conditions.
